BellSouth® Managed Remote Access Service

BellSouth Managed Remote Access Service (Managed RAS) helps customers concentrate multiple end-users at a central point within a LATA. With Managed RAS, customers are provided an aggregation site and local phone number for their subscribers. Subscribers simply dial the assigned local phone number and are tunneled securely to the Managed RAS modem pool located within a central office in the LATA. Managed RAS is deployed to 33 central offices regionwide. BellSouth customer would also buy the Frame Relay, ATM or DIA circuit necessary to take that subscriber data to their network.
